Each day during his presidency, Jimmy Carter made several entries in a private diary. The diary amounted to more than 5,000 pages—but this extraordinary document has never been made public, until now.
In White House Diary, Carter has selected his most illuminating entries to offer an astonishingly intimate view of his presidency. Day by day, we see his advocacy for nuclear containment and peace in the Middle East; witness his interactions with such complex personalities as Henry Kissinger, Anwar Sadat and Menachem Begin and get the inside story of such seminal events as the Iranian hostage crisis. Accompanied by Carter’s annotated comments, White House Diary is a unique contribution to the history of the American presidency.

I read this book and was instantly aware that there were some points in it that were not in the former President Carter's KEEPING FAITH, MEMOIRS OF A PRESIDENT. Both books are up to notch and present a wonderful view of his presidency.
