The Juicing Bible, 2nd Edition

Getting the medical establishment's recommended "daily 8" portions of fruits and veggies in during a busy day is a challenge, so juice bars have sprung up to make it easy. But why spend all that money when you can buy a quality juicer or blender once and make drinks exactly to your taste over and over again? Revised and expanded with 100 new recipes, Pat Crocker's The Juicing Bible, 2nd ed., helps you drink for your health with 350 immune boosters, nerve nourishers, stress busters, cleansers, healing teas, milk substitutes and more, including Antibiotic Toddy, Melon Nightcap, even frozen treats like Basil-Pear Sherbet. You'll also find recommendations on how to use natural foods to combat 80 common health concerns. Color photo insert.

i was a little dissapointed .. but only because it wasn't what i had in mind.i am not very creative whan it comes to mixing things and i wanted a book that i could say "oh look at all this chard i have, what else can juice with it....." and this book doesn't do that .

I have not read this book but must say the response to Dorothy's review provided proof you can't believe everything you read as well as some very droll comic relief! When it comes to dishing out medical advise please have your facts straight or at least a few degrees behind your name to back you up.

FYI

Not only does cheese NOT "eat" uric acid, it contains moderately high purine levels. Also great job submitting the same review multiple times. Hope your health has improved and congrats on being a doctor and all.

I am very sorry I wasted my $. If you have uric acid kidney stones the advice in this book may be lethal. It says to minimize dairy. My MD advised me to eliminate cheese from my diet and within 2 weeks I was in the ER on an oper. slab because every 3 days my body was forming kidney stones large enough for the OR. I researched uric acid and CHEESE EATS URIC ACID. I went back on Cheese and my kidney stones disappeared. I would be dead now except for the advice I took from my own research. Also the best remedy for a lack of iron is Guinness Stout. The best remedy for low calcium is spinach and goat milk. Red wine is best for tubbys and for antioxidents. Alcohol dilates the blood vessels so it's used by heart patients. BE SURE TO CHECK WITH YOUR PHARMACIST & DOCTOR BEFORE USING ANY REMEDY because you may have other issues.
