if you can get thru the 1st 1/2 of the book, you will not regret it. the book accelerates! you will gobble up page after page. great read. engaging characters Lisbeth, Mikael and the old man Henrik that will stay with you long after completion.

I really enjoyed this book. I am a Stephen King fan and he had it on his list of his 10 favorite books. It was a book that I just could not put down until I had finished it.

Good Read

I've been a mystery reader for many years and it was a delight to find a new writer in this genre. One whose characters are complex and neither all good or all bad. One whose solution isn't obvious or stale. A wonderful book, different, yes. A little slow to get going, yes. But once the story grips you, it doesn't let you go. Mikael and Lisbeth are fascinating characters and a perfect match to solve the 40 year old crime of Harriet Vanger. Highly recommended.

It was good - will remember the characters

Book was good. Was it great? I'm not sure. A little slow to get going, and a little too long. However, overall, the characters were interesting, and the book was a little different from the typical best sellers.
