It’s always difficult to distinguish between companies that truly provide eco-friendly products and those that simply “greenwash.” Now, from the company that founded Organic Gardening magazine and published Al Gore’s An Inconvenient Truth comes Michael Robbins’ Whole Green Catalog, poised to become the bible of green living for the 68 million Americans who take environmental issues into account when making purchases. Experts in virtually every imaginable category—home furnishings, appliances, clothing and pets—share authoritative tips, reviews and advice. The book also shows you how to go green while saving money as well as how to reduce your carbon footprint when traveling! This is a great book for anyone who cares about the planet.

This Catalog is comprehensive and very useful. It will definitely influence my future purchases. For me it clarifies the difference between products that are genuinely 'green' and those that merely have cute 'ecological' sounding names. I feel more like an educated consumer with this book in hand. It covers a broad range of topics and products, as implied in the title. It also supports many of the things I now do, e.g. online banking, as being sound environmental practices, helping to reduce overuse of resources. There is something for everyone in this book - home, parenting, work, transportation (not just hybrid cars), outdoors ....... Treat it like a coffee table book -- every home should have one, out where one can browse for a minute or two, e.g. during commercials!
