Funny, irreverent and irresistible. Carol Burnett is all that and more, and the same can be said for This Time Together as she shares story after memorable story from throughout her life. Among the book’s many delightful tidbits, you’ll find: the behind-the-scenes story of her legendary “Went With the Wind” skit, when she swept down the stairs in her curtain-rod dress; the prank with Julie Andrews that went wrong in front of the First Lady; the time her famous Tarzan yell saved her from a mugging; and more! Also discussing her friendships with such stars as Jimmy Stewart, Lucille Ball and Cary Grant, This Time Together allows us to cry with Carol during her sorrows, to rejoice in her successes and—most of all—to laugh. Includes photos.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading about Carol's life! She is a true entertainer, and I miss seeing her show. I got through the book in record time! My only complaint is that it was too short! I wanted to read more about Mrs. Whiggins, Eunice, Bob Mackie's costumes, and about more of her guests! I actually remember the show where she came out wearing the drapes! Maybe a second book? Or maybe get the DVDs of her show out on the market?

It's fun reading about Carol's life and how she got started in show buisness. It also brings back memories from her show that I used to watch. The chapters are short, so you can sit down and read one or two if you only have a few minutes. I am throughly enjoying this book and would recommend it to anyone who likes Carol Burnett.

This book was a joy to read and laugh out loud. It just finished too quickly. Like the other reviewers I grew up watching all the shows and the guests about whom Carol tells her wonderful and touching stories. I found her to always have a positive outlook "when one door closes another will open" and never trashing others in the business like some do. I hope she has another book in her because this one was delicious. I knew Bob Mackie did the costumes for her. I didn't know he did them for everyone else - dancers, actors, guests - even the "washer woman" was his and her famous Scarlett O'Hara dress/drapes. Thank you Carol.
