A darkly comical look at the sinister inner workings of the natural world, Amy Stewart’s Wicked Bugs catalogs over 100 of our insectoid foes. From the world’s most painful hornet to flies that transmit deadly diseases, to millipedes that can stop traffic, this book delves into the terrifying powers of six- and eight-legged creatures. The question is: Can you handle it?
This A to Z of insect enemies has many highlights. Explore bugs’ kinky sex lives (“She’s Just Not That Into You”), creatures that lurk in cupboards (“Fear No Weevil”) and phobias feeding into our occasionally irrational responses to bugs (“Have No Fear”). Beautiful sketches by Briony Morrow-Cribbs capture bugs in all their creepy glory!

My grandson-age 10 - really liked your book on bugs. He lived in the country where a lot of these bugs also live. His main interest right now is butterflies, but he does see some of these bugs on his paths to find butterfies.
I- the grandfather- also liked to look through your interesting book- it reminded me of those days when I romped the fields looking for bugs.
